Hurricane Season

It's that time again! Hurricane season is upon us, officially starting on June 1st, 2019.

We are no strangers to the damages these storms can cause. The immense amount of wind damage, is at times, dwarfed by the catastrophic amounts of water that flood our city streets, and devastate our surrounding towns.

When Hurricane Harvey hit in August of 2017, 3% of the population of Houston had flood insurance. 2 years later, we still have families out of their home, due to the fact that they are not habitable. Disaster relief organizations (EX: FEMA), are only able to cover minimal damages, when the flooding is so immense. Over the last couple of years, the storms have been more fierce, and more unpredictable. FLOOD, is starting to become a more common word in our vocabulary.

As frequent as these events are starting to become, why wouldn't you want your belongings protected? Many of the homes that flooded during Harvey were "out of a flood zone". Just because you reside outside of these lines, doesn't mean that at some point, you may be affected. The cost of flood insurance is so low, compared to the price of having to replace your whole life's work. Items like your home, car, valuables, and your family's piece of mind, are completely worth the small price a month for good flood insurance.

Let's go over an affordable policy for you, today. Right now is the time to do it. If you already possess a flood insurance policy, let our group of knowledgeable insurance agents look over it to insure you are getting exactly what you need, at a price you are comfortable with!

Unlike working with a captive or exclusive agents, independent agents work for you, not for the company that currently underwrites your policy. That affords us a lot of flexibility with servicing your account.

When you represent only one company, the rules are pretty straight-forward. There is one company, one set of underwriting rules and one set of rates. This limits their ability to provide options.  Independent agents work with multiple carriers allowing us to move your coverage when a better fit is needed.
